Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 79 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 18^th of July, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 19^th of July, 2022.

Domestic Dispute

On July 18, 2022, at 2pm, police were called to a residence on Sienna Av. regarding a domestic dispute that occurred.  The investigation revealed that an adult female victim was assaulted and rendered unconscious by a male suspect.  The victim did not wish or require medical attention.  The male suspect had fled the address prior to police arriving but was later located by officers. 

The accused, a 27-year-old Belleville resident was charged with domestic assault and choking.  The accused was held for a show cause hearing scheduled for this morning.  The accused will not be identified in order to protect the identity of the victim.
