Belleville Police Service responded to 71 calls for service from the 11th of July 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 12th of July 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, Ontario – On the 11th of July at 3:30 p.m. Police responded to the area of Dundas Street East regarding a two-vehicle collision. There were minor injuries reported and both vehicles sustained significant damage. The at fault driver was charged with Turn Not in Safety under the Highway Traffic Act and was issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
Belleville, Ontario – On the 11th of July at 8:15 p.m. Police responded to the area of Bell Blvd regarding a two-vehicle collision. There were no injuries reported and both vehicles sustained minor damage. The at fault driver was charged with Follow Too Close under the Highway Traffic Act and was issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on July 12th 2020. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance. Police also dealt with several Mental Health calls and multiple minor collisions that were referred to the Belleville Police Service Collision Reporting Centre.
