The Belleville Police Service responded to 51 calls for service from January 28th, 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to January 29th, 2021 at 5:00 a.m.
Arrest on Warrant
Belleville, ON – On January 28th, 2021, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Police attended an address in the area of John Street and Bridge Street East in response to a disturbance. On arrival, Police conducted an investigation that revealed a male within the building was causing problems with other residents. Police located the male who presented himself in the hallway and subsequently arrested him on an outstanding warrant. Further charges of uttering threats, harassment and breach of probation were added following the disturbance. The 42-year-old Belleville male was held for a bail hearing.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on January 29th 2021. Police responded to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
