Arrest on Warrant/Drugs

On the 19^th of January, 2022 at 9:30 am police observed a vehicle on Moira Street West Belleville, Ontario. A check of the plate indicated the driver was suspended. The vehicle was stopped and the occupants were identified. A male passenger, Eric Vining, thirty-six-years-old of Belleville, Ontario was arrested on an outstanding warrant for two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions. During the search of the vehicle a quantity of narcotics were located. As a result, the female driver, Nicole Brown, a thirty-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics and driving under suspension. She was released with a court date of the 14^th of February, 2022. Vining was further charged with possession of narcotics. He was held for a bail hearing and remanded to the 20^th of January, 2022.  

Domestic Assault

On January 19^th, 2022 at 5:23 pm Belleville Police responded to a disturbance in the east end of the City.  Officers spoke with witnesses that advised a female had struck her male partner in the face with a closed fist.  The male received minor injuries and did not require medical attention.  The female was arrested and charged for domestic assault.  She was later released with a court date on February 14^th, 2022 in Belleville. The name of the female is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
