Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 72 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 18th of January, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 19th of January, 2022

Domestic Assault

On the 18th of January at 6:00 pm Belleville Police were called to a residence on Wallbridge Crescent Belleville, Ontario regarding a domestic dispute.  The female victim advised that her boyfriend had punched her in the face and slapped her across the back of the head multiple times.  The boyfriend had left the residence prior to police arrival.  He was located a short time later at a friend’s residence where he was taken into custody without incident. As a result, a twenty-four-year-old male Belleville, Ontario resident was arrested and charged with two counts of Domestic Assault. The male was held for a bail hearing on the 19th of January, 2022. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.

Stolen Dump Trailer

On the 18th of January, 2022 Belleville Police took a report of a stolen Dump trailer. It was reported that sometime between Friday January 14th, 2022 and Monday January 17th, 2022, unknown person(s) entered a construction site located on Dundas Street West Belleville, Ontario and stole a dump trailer.  The trailer is described as a 2012 4X12 - Black MISKA construction grade dump trailer.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable HART at 613-966-0882 X4219 or at mhart@police.belleville.on.ca
