Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 69 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 2nd of February, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 3rd of February, 2022.

Break and Enter

On the 3rd of February 2022 at 9:00 am Belleville Police were dispatched to a business on Moira Street Belleville, Ontario regarding a break and enter which had occurred the previous evening.  A check of the building was conducted and no suspects were located at that time. Throughout the day police were called to the building three times for reports of an unknown person leaving the building and alarms.  At 7:30 pm officers were called back to the business with the assistance of the Belleville Police K9 unit. This search resulted in a thirty-six-year-old male Belleville, Ontario resident being located inside the business. The male was arrested and charged with Break and Enter, Possession of stolen property, Possession of Break in tools, Breach of the Probation and Possession of narcotics.  The male was held for a bail hearing on the 4th of February 2022.

Domestic Dispute

On the 4th of February 2022 at 1:00 am Belleville Police officers were called to a Front Street residence regarding a domestic dispute.  Officers arrived on scene and learned that one of the involved parties had had been threatened with a pair of scissors.  As a result, a thirty-four-year-old female Belleville, Ontario resident was charged with uttering threats and was released with a February 28th, 2022 court date. As this is a domestic incident the name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.

Warrants

On the 3rd of February 2022 at 3:00 pm Belleville Police attended a west end residence regarding a wanted male who was observed to be inside. As a result, Belleville Police attended and arrested forty-six-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident Dale Green who was wanted on multiple arrest warrants for Fail to comply with Release Order, Fail to attend Court and Theft. Green was held for a bail hearing on the 4th of February 2022.

On the 3rd of February 2022 at 4:00 pm Belleville Police attended a north end park to check on the wellbeing of a male. While at the park Belleville Police located thirty-one-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident Kyle Nickell. Nickell was wanted by Belleville Police for Fail to attend Court. As a result, Nickell was arrested for the warrant and later released with a February 24th court date.

On the 3rd of February 2022 at 5:30pm Belleville Police attended a business on Victoria Street regarding unwanted people on the property.  One of the people on scene was determined to be wanted on a number of outstanding warrants for Fail to attend Court. As a result, twenty-seven-year-old Victorya Ladouceur was arrested for the warrants and later released with a February 24th court date.

On the 3rd of February 2022 at 8:30 pm a Belleville Police officer conducted a traffic stop in the east end of the city.  A check of the driver confirmed he had outstanding warrants for Fail to Appear in court, Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Fail to Comply with a Release Order.  As a result, thirty-three-year-old male Belleville, Ontario resident Myles Hughes was arrested on the outstanding warrants and later released with a February 24th court date.
