Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 80 calls for service from 5:00 am on the 23rd of February, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 24th of February, 2022.

Stabbing

Belleville, ON – On February 24th, 2022 at 2:36am Belleville Police responded to a report of a stabbing that occurred near the intersection of Bridge Street E and Church Street.  When police arrived, they were advised by the victim and EMS that the male suspect took off towards the downtown area.  Police searched for the suspect but did not locate him.  The victim, a 32-year-old male from Belleville was transported to Belleville General Hospital with a knife wound and was in stable condition.

 Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, ON – Over the past 24 hours, Belleville Police responded to 7 Motor Vehicle Collisions within the city.  Police are asking motorist to be vigilant with the melting snow quickly freezing along the sides of the roadways.  Warmer temperatures and rain have also caused the roads to become wet and to freeze quickly when the temperatures drop creating slippery conditions.
