Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 72 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 14th of February, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 15th of February, 2022.

Breach of Undertaking

On the 14th of February, 2022 at 9:21 am Belleville Police attended an address on Dundas Street West Belleville, Ontario in response to a breach of an undertaking. The victim of a prior Domestic complaint called in to advise that the suspect was in contact with her despite a non-communication condition. As a result, a thirty-four-year old male Belleville, Ontario resident was arrested and charged with one count of breach of an undertaking. He was released on another undertaking with a court date of the 21st of April 2022. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim. 

Domestic Assault

On the 14th of February, 2022 at 3:07 pm Belleville Police attended an address on Grier Street Belleville, Ontario in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival police received information from the victim that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. She received a small cut on her head that did not require medical treatment. A twenty-three-year-old Belleville, Ontario male was arrested and charged with one count of Domestic Assault and released on an undertaking with a court date of the 21st of April, 2022. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
