Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 78 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 31st of January, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 1st of February, 2022

Break, Enter and Theft

On the 31st of January, 2022 at 9:30 pm Belleville Police Service attended a Dundas Street East Belleville, Ontario business regarding an insecure building. Attending Officers and the K-9 Unit cleared the building and no one was located inside. Further investigation revealed that six Apple I-Pads and one Apple I-Phone were taken from the building. The Belleville Police Service Forensics Identification Unit attended and analysed the scene. The investigation is ongoing anyone with information is asked to call the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882.

Disturbance

On the 31st of January, 2022 Belleville Police Service attended near the shore of the Bay of Quinte at about 8:00 pm for the report of a women screaming.  Police located a pair of belligerent intoxicated people. A thirty-three-year-old female and a thirty-three-year old male of no fixed address were arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. Both were transported to the Belleville Police Service and held until sober enough to care for themselves .

Motor Vehicle Collisions

The Belleville Police Service attended four Motor Vehicle Collisions in the last twenty-four hours. All were minor property damage only with no injuries.
