The Belleville Police Service responded to 51 calls between January 31st, 2021 at 5:00 a.m. and February 1st, 2021 at 5:00 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Collision leads to Charge
Belleville, ON – On the 31st of January 2021, shortly before 5:00 p.m., officers responded to a 2-vehicle collision in the area of Pine St. and Lingham St., in Belleville’s East end. Luckily, no injuries were reported, but damage to both motor vehicles was moderate. Both had to be towed from the location. Through the investigation, it was determined that the at fault driver failed to yield to traffic on a through highway. As a-result a 20-year-old female from Belleville was charged with section 136(1)(b) of the Highway Traffic Act. Anyone who may have witness the collision is asked to call Cst. City Police report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on February 1st, 2021. Police responded to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included noise complaints, disturbances, domestics disputes, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, and calls to assist ambulance.
