Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 74 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 7th of November, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 8th of November, 2022.

Intimate Partner Assault

On the 7th of December 2022 at 8:59 pm, Belleville Police received a call to 110 North Front Street Belleville, Ontario, in regards to an intoxicated male. Police located the male, and he was arrested for public intoxication. A record check indicated that the male was currently wanted by Belleville Police for failing to attend for fingerprints. Police attended his home to check on the female resident. The female provided information that she was assaulted by the male and she was taken to Belleville General Hospital to get assessed for a possible concussion. As a result, the 37-year-old male Belleville, Ontario resident was charged with the following:

  1. Assault bodily harm,
  2. Breach of probation
  3. Fail to comply with an undertaking
  4. Mischief.

 

He was held for a show cause hearing on the 8th of December 2022.
