Assault & Mischief
Belleville, ON – December 7th, 2020 – 2:00 p.m.
On November 9th, 2020, city police attended a disturbance outside an apartment building on Bridge St W. No parties were arrested on scene as it was not determined exactly what had occurred with conflicting stories.
Police were able to secure video evidence of the disturbance a few weeks after the fact and determined a suspect.
On December 7th, 2020 Belleville Police arrested 62-year-old David Moore of Belleville with one count of assault and one count of Mischief Under $5000. Mr. Moore was released on his own recognizance. The accused is scheduled to attend court on January 21st, 2020 to answer to his charges.
Threats Charge
Belleville, ON – December 7th, 2020 – 4:00 p.m.
On December 3rd, 2020 a Belleville Police School Response Unit officer investigated allegations of threats made to a Vice Principal at a local high school. The youth was later identified and arrangements were made with the parents to turn the youth into police.
On December 7th, 2020 at 4pm, police arrested and charged the 15-year-old young person for one count of uttering Threats. The accused was released into his parents care on his own recognizance and is scheduled to attend youth court on January 12th, 2020 to answer to his charge.
Theft & Vandalism Downtown
Belleville, ON – December 4th/5th, 2020
Sometime over the night of December 4th into the 5th, unknown Suspect(s) damaged a Christmas lighting display downtown of Front Street. Also, Vandals made off with over $3700.00 worth of lighting fixtures and lighting equipment. Some of the stolen items consisted of commercial cables, a computer controlling system, a power supply, control box and a pixel control system.
The Belleville Police are requesting the assistance of the public to solve this theft and vandalism.
