Ride Program
On the 30th of December, 2021 Belleville Police Service conducted a Ride Program between 7:00 am and 11:00 am. There were 400 vehicles checked. There were no charges laid.
Break and Enter
On the 30th of December, 2021 at 5:36 pm Belleville Police were called to a Cannifton Road North address for a Break and Enter. Police were informed that unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Cannifton Road North and stole a large number of items valued under $5000.00 dollars. It is believed that the Break and Enter occurred between 11:15 am and 5:00 pm on December 30th, 2021. The Belleville Police Service Uniform Patrol and Forensics Unit attended and processed scene. Robbery
On the 31st of December, 2021 at 1:20 am Belleville Police were called to North Front Street Belleville, Ontario for reports of a Robbery. It was reported to Police that an adult female was walking on North Front Street near Evans Street at about 1:00 am. The female was approached by an adult male who assaulted her and stole her handbag and backpack. The female received minor injuries and was taken to Hospital where she was treated and later released. The suspect is described as white male, approx. 5’5”. Unsafe Ice
Belleville Police Service continue to field calls about people venturing onto local waterways to skate or walk. The ice is still considered unsafe and no one should venture out. The City of Belleville will announce when the ice in the Harbour is safe for skating.
