Assault
On the 20th of December 2022 at 7:47 p.m., Belleville Police received a call regarding an assault at a west-end residence. Police arrived at the home and learned that a male had assaulted a female resident. The female received minor injuries in the altercation and did not require medical attention. The male had left before police arrival; however, he returned to the residence a short time later, at which time he was arrested for one count of assault. As a result, 53-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident Danny Boomhower was transported back to Belleville Police Service, where he was held in custody for a short time and later released with a court date on January 19th, 2022.
Theft of Tools
On the 20th of December 2022 at 9:00 p.m., Belleville Police received a call for service regarding a theft from a work trailer. The victim provided information that sometime between December 16th, 2022 and December 18th, 2022, unknown suspect(s) broke into his enclosed trailer containing several power tools. Approximately $6500 in various power tools were taken from an address in Foxboro, Ontario.
