Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 95 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 15^th of December, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 17^th of December, 2022.

Domestic assault

On 15 December 2022, at 5:10am, police received a call from a female stating she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Police attended the area; however, the male had fled. The male was located a short time later on Bell Boulevard and was arrested. A 40-year-old Belleville man was charged with assault, choking, and mischief, and he was held for a bail hearing.

Theft from vehicle

On 11 December 2022, during the overnight hours, an unknown suspect entered a vehicle on Elvins Gardens and removed a Milwaukee tool bag containing various tools. An image of the suspect was caught on a neighbour’s camera. Anyone who recognizes the male is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service.
