Arson and Weapons Charges
On the 14th of December, 2021 Belleville Police were called to a Church Street Belleville, Ontario address for reports of a male throwing a bottle at a building which exploded and caused a minor fire. The fire was extinguished by individuals at the address. The male suspect left the area and was located on Pinnacle Street by police. As a result of investigation into the incident a thirty-six-year-old male Belleville, Ontario resident was charged with multiple criminal offences including Arson, Mischief under $5000.00, Weapons Dangerous, Fail to comply with an undertaking and Fail to comply with a Probation Order. The male was held for a show cause hearing on the 15th of December, 2021. Damage to the building was minor and there are no reports of any injuries.
