Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 89 calls for service beginning at 5:00 am on the 13th of December, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 14th of December, 2022.

Arrested on warrants

On the 13th of December 2022, at 9:00pm, a male wanted on four outstanding warrants attended the Belleville Police Service to turn himself in.  The male attended with a dog on a leash.  A check of the male confirmed that he was placed on a prohibition order for three years in April 2021 during which time the male was prohibited from custody or control of an animal as a result of a conviction for cruelty to an animal.  The male was arrested on the warrants and while being searched a pair of hard plastic brass knuckles were located in his pocket.  The male was charged with breaching his prohibition order and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose along with the four warrants.  The male is being held for a bail hearing on the 14th of December.

Arrested on warrants

On the 13th of December 2022, at 11:15pm, an officer on general patrol observed a female they believed was wanted.  A check of the female confirmed two outstanding warrants for her arrest for 6 counts of possession of stolen property and one count of failing to comply with a release order.  Amanda Bruinsma, 35, of Belleville, was arrested and is being held for a bail hearing on the 14th of December
