City By-Law ticket issued for Public Nuisance
Belleville, ON – On the 5th of August 2020 at 12:12 p.m. Police responded to a business on Front Street regarding a person sleeping in front of the business. Police attended the area and located the individual who had previously been trespassed from the business. As a result of a Police investigation, a 37-year-old Belleville woman was issued a City By-Law ticket for Public Nuisance and she left the area upon request.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on August 6th 2020. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance. Several minor Motor Vehicle Collisions were also referred to the Collision Reporting Center located at the Belleville Police Service.
