The Belleville Police Service responded to 84 calls from August 4th 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to August 5th 2021 at 5:00 a.m.
Arrested on Warrants
Belleville, ON – On August 4th 2021, shortly after 7:00 p.m., officers on general patrol observed a female walking in the city’s west-end. Officers were aware that she was currently wanted by the Belleville Police Service on three outstanding warrants for various offences. As a result, 28-year-old Kendal Dupuis of Belleville was arrested and transported to Belleville Police Service. The accused will be held in custody for a show cause hearing on the 5th of August 2021.
Belleville, ON – On August 4th 2021, officers were called to the North-East area of city in regards to a male who was believed to be yelling at people. Officers attended and identified the male as 29-year-old Bradley Carleton of Belleville. Investigation revealed that Mr. Carleton was currently wanted on an outstanding warrant, held by the Belleville Police Service. As a result, the accused was taken into custody and will be held for a show cause hearing on the 5th of August 2021.
Break and Enter
Belleville, ON – On the 4th of August 2021, shortly after 9:00 a.m., Belleville Police responded to a report of a possible break and enter in the City’s west-end. Upon arrival, officers located and male believe to be involved. Through investigation, it was determined that the male was in fact responsible for breaking and entering into the residence. As a result, a 38-year-old Trenton man is facing two charges, including break and enter contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code and breaching probation, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code. The accused was held in custody for a show cause hearing on the 4th of August 2021. The male’s name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on August 5th 2021. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included noise complaints, numerous disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, and calls to assist ambulance.
