Belleville Man Wanted

Belleville, ON- On 30 July 2020, at 6:15 p.m., police observed a male on Victoria Avenue who was known to be on house arrest conditions stemming from previous criminal charges. Police attempted to approach and arrest the man; however, he fled the area on a bike. As a result, Belleville Police now have an arrest warrant for 31-year-old Trevor Cox of Belleville. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Belleville Police Service or Crime Stoppers.

Window Broken

Belleville, ON- On 3 August 2020, at 3:45 p.m., police received a call to a Donald Street address regarding a mischief. Police were advised that an unknown suspect had thrown a chair through the back window of the victim’s house. The suspect had fled prior to police arrival. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cst Blanchard at jblanchard@police.belleville.on.ca

Animal Complaint

Belleville, ON, On 3 August 2020, at 4:30 p.m., officers attended the area of Pine Street in regards to a large disturbance. The disturbance started after a 6-year-old child was bitten by a large breed of dog. The child sustained a large wound on his back and on his forehead. After further investigation, it appears that the person walking the dog lost control of the animal and attacked the child. He was taken to Belleville General Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The incident is still under investigation by the Belleville Police Service and Animal Control.
