Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 78 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 29th of August, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 30th of August, 2022.

Breach of Probation

On the 29th of August 2022, at 12:34 p.m. Belleville Police responded to the area of Russell Street Belleville, Ontario, regarding a male and female fighting. Police attended the area, and investigation revealed that the involved 42-year-old Belleville male was breaching his release order. As a result, the male was arrested for Breach of Release Order and transported to the Belleville Police Service, where he is being held for bail. As this is a domestic incident, the accused’s name is not being released to protect the victim’s identity.

Arrested on Warrants

On the 29th of August 2022, at 2:55 p.m., 24-year-old Consecon, Ontario resident Reian Wallace turned himself into the Belleville Police Service as he was wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court. Mr. Wallace was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrants and held for bail.

City Police also report a continuous 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on August 30th, 2022.  Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance. Further, several minor Motor Vehicle Collisions were referred to the Bellville Police Service Collision Reporting Center.
