Mischief to Church
Belleville, ON- On 18 August 2020, at 07:10 a.m., police were called to a church on Harder Drive regarding a mischief. Police learned that unknown person(s) had broken a window overnight. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Cst. Blake at bblake@police.belleville.on.ca.
Arrest made in Theft.
Belleville, ON- On 18 August 2020, a female wanted by the Belleville Police for theft from an incident at Canadian Tire on 29 January 2020, was arrested in Trenton on a separate incident. Following that, Belleville Police made arrangement to take the female into custody. The female, 25-year-old Taylor Weaver of Scarborough, was later released with a September 24th. court date.
Assault with Weapon
Belleville ON- On 18 August 2020, at 7:45 p.m., police were called to an East end plaza regarding a male being assaulted with a hammer. Police attended the area and located the victim who needed medical attention. Police were given the name of the suspect by the victim as they had known each other, and police were able to track the male to an east end apartment building where he was arrested. A 39-year-old Belleville man was taken into custody and charged with assault cause bodily harm and assault with a weapon. He was held for a bail hearing. The victim was treated for his injuries, and he was later released from the hospital.
