Belleville Police Service responded to 71 calls for service from the 13th of August 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 14th of August 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

4 Counts of Breaching Conditional Sentence Order

Belleville, ON – On the 13th of August 2020 at 3:00 p.m. Police responded to the area of Sidney Street in Belleville regarding a male who was in the area and wanted by City Police for breaching his conditional sentence order x 4. Upon arrival, Police located the 34-year-old Belleville male, Jamie Ferguson, and arrested him on the strength of the outstanding Warrant. He was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was lodged into cells and held for a bail hearing.

City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on August 14th   2020.  Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance. Further, several minor motor vehicle collisions were referred to the Belleville Police Service Collision Reporting Center.
