The Belleville Police responded to 83 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. 11 Aug 2020 and 5:00 a.m. 12 Aug 2020.

Theft

Belleville ON, On 11 Aug 2020 at 6:30 p.m. attended at 101 Bell Blvd Canadian Tire in regards to a shoplifter. A 66 yr. old Belleville female was apprehended after leaving the store with stolen merchandise. Police attended and as a result of the minor value of the theft she was released on a Provincial Offence Notice for engaging in a prohibited activity.

Impaired Driver

Belleville ON, on 11 Aug 2020 at 10:50 a.m. officers attended a business on Millennium Pkwy in regards to a female slumped over the wheel of her vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the lot. Police located the vehicle and spoke to the female. The officer detected signs of impairment by drugs. The female was arrested and during a search of the vehicle the officer located a small amount of a narcotic. The female was transported to the Belleville Police and an O.P.P Drug Recognition Expert was called in for assistance. As a result, of the tests, Joy Watson a 36 yr. old from Whitney, Ontario was charged with impaired operation of a vehicle by drugs, and possession of a narcotic. She was released on an undertaking with a court date of 03 Sept 2020.
