Female Faces Numerous Charges
Belleville, ON – A city woman was arrested on April 8th after a disturbance in an East-end apartment complex. The incident occurred on April 7th at 9:30 p.m. It was reported by other tenants in the building. After completing an investigation, police arrested 40-year old Amanda Lynne Sleeper. She was taken into custody on charges of uttering threats, criminal harassment, and mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use of property (2 counts). Sleeper was released on an undertaking with conditions and a court appearance in the Ontario Court of Justice on July 9th.
Arrested on Warrants
Belleville, ON – On April 9th 2020 at 1:15 a.m., city police received a message from the Kingston Police Service that they had a male in custody. The male had turned himself into Kingston Police on two outstanding arrest warrants for failing to comply with probation from November of 2019. He was transferred to the Belleville Police Service and lodged. The man, a 42-year old of no fixed address, was held for a bail hearing.
