On the April 8, 2022 at 3:45am, Belleville Police attended the area of Dundas Street West and Sidney Street regarding an intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance and banging on the door of a residence. Officers located the suspect male in the area and apprehended him under the Liquor Licence Control Act for being intoxicated in a public place and for his own safety. The 25-year-old Belleville man was held in custody until he was sober and released with a provincial offence notice.
The Belleville Police report a steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00am on April 8, 2022. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons, traffic complaints, family disputes and animal complaints.
