The Belleville Police Service responded to 70 calls for service between the 28th of April 2020 at 5:00 a.m. and the 29th of April 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Breach of Probation results in charges for a local Belleville woman

Belleville, ON – On the 28th of April 2020 at 2:00 p.m., Police responded to the area of Albion Street in the City of Belleville to a report of someone who was breaching their Probation conditions. On arrival, Police located the female suspect and conducted an investigation into the allegations of a possible Breach of Probation. As a result, the 40-year-old Belleville woman was found to be breaching three of her conditions and was subsequently arrested. She was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she is being held for bail.

Assault

Belleville ON - On 28 April 2020 at 530 p.m. officers attended on Church Street in regards to a male causing a disturbance. Officers located the male and attempted to ascertain what the issue was. The male walked over to another person and attempted to start a fight. At that point Devin Whyte, an eighteen-year-old male with no fixed address, was arrested for assault. He was transported to the Belleville Police. He was charged with one count of assault and released on an undertaking with a court date of 18 June 2020.There were no injuries.
