Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 74 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 26th of April, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 27th of April, 2022.

Warrant

On the 26th of April 2022 at 7:45 pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of a person entering an abandoned building on Church Street in Belleville, Ontario. Police entered the building and located David Robertson, a 50-year-old male with no fixed address. A record check indicated that the male was wanted by the Belleville Police for weapons dangerous, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, mischief under 5000.00, 2 counts of assault, and failing to attend court and fingerprints. He was held for a bail hearing on 27 April 2022.

Theft

On the 26th of April 2022 at 11:36 am, a crossing guard observed a male wearing a purple Toronto Raptors shirt and hat, light brown jacket, and blue jeans entering the grounds of a school on Church Street. The male removed a wrench from his person and broke the lock off a bike rack. The male then rode off on the bike. There are no suspects at this time and the investigation is continuing.
