Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 69 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 25th of April, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 26th of April, 2022.

Break and Enter

On the 25th of April 2022 at 6:13 p.m. Belleville Police attended a North Front Street Belleville, Ontario address regarding unwanted people.  Information was provided that a group of people had entered a construction site and were causing damage to the property.  Attending Officers located 34-year-old male Bruce Cooney, 43-year-old female Louise Hall, and a 36-year-old male Michael Primeau all of no fixed address inside the building.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that damaged had occurred to construction equipment and some tools were missing.  As a result of the investigation into the incident all were charged with Break and Enter, Mischief, and Breach of Probation. All were released with a court day of May 26th, 2022.

Assault

On the 25th of April 2022 at 6:29 p.m., Belleville Police attended an apartment building in the downtown core regarding an assault.  Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with a witness who advised that a female had struck another female in the face, causing minor injuries. As a result of the investigation 45-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident Michelle Mills was arrested for assault and transported to Belleville Police Service.  Mills was held in custody until she was sober and able to care for herself.  She was released with a court date on May 26th, 2022.
