Investment fraud

Belleville ON- On 21 April 2022, at 7:30pm, police took a complaint regarding a fraud. Police were advised by the elderly complainant that she had invested approximately $50,000 with an unknown investment agency over the internet through purchasing Apple ID cards. The investigation is ongoing. The Belleville Police would like to remind everyone that these types of frauds are very common, and to be very cautious sending anything to anyone over the phone or internet.
