The Belleville Police responded to 73 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 17th of March, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 18th of March, 2022.
Arrested on Warrants
On 17th of March 2022 at approximately 3:50 pm police were called to the west end of the city for a report of a disturbance. The parties had left are in a vehicle together prior to police arrival. Police located the involved parties nearby. A check of one of the parties found that he had outstanding warrants in Belleville. Daryl VERNER, a 39-year-old Belleville resident was arrested for one count of failing to attend court in accordance with a summons, contrary to Section 145(3) of the Criminal Code. VERNER was released on an undertaking with a court date of April 21st, 2022.
Suspended Driver, passenger arrested on warrants
On March 17th, 2022 at approximately 10:30 pm, police were patrolling in the downtown area and conducted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old female resident of Norwood, was found to be a suspended driver. The driver was charged with driving while suspended and the vehicle was impounded. The passenger in the vehicle, 35-year-old Sara VOSS of Madoc was found to have an outstanding warrant in Belleville. VOSS was charged with failing to appear for the purposes of the Identification of Criminals Act contrary to Section 145(4)(b) of the Criminal Code. VOSS was arrested released on an undertaking to attend court on April 21st, 2022.
