Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 82 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 4th of July, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 5th of July, 2022.

Theft

On 4 July, 2022, at 10:20am, Belleville Police took a report of a theft from a vehicle in the Byron Street area. The complaint advised that a STIHL concrete saw was taken from his truck sometime overnight on July 3rd.  Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to call the Belleville Police Service.

Theft of purse

On 4 July, 2022, at 3:40pm, Belleville Police took a report of a theft of a purse from Riverside Park on Moira Street East. Police were advised that a male described as 20-25 with a long red beard, and grey sweat suit, had taken a purse off of a bike in the area. The complainant advised that the male was chased, and he eventually dropped the purse. The male was last seen in the Bell Blvd and Adam St area. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service.
