Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 99 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on March 30, 2023 to 5:00 am on March 31, 2023.

 

Domestic Assault

On the 31st of March 2023 at 12:24am, Belleville Police were called regarding a domestic disturbance which was actively occurring in a vehicle.  Loud screaming could be heard from the parties involved.  The caller was unable to provide their exact location however through efforts of the Belleville Police Dispatchers and patrol officers, police were able to locate the vehicle near the north end of North Front St.  Upon arrival, police learned that the female had kicked out the windshield of her partner’s vehicle during an argument and was arrested for domestic mischief.  Further investigation led to additional charges against the female of spousal assault with a weapon and three counts of spousal assault.  The 24-year-old Deseronto resident was released on an Undertaking with a court date in April 2023.

 

Arrested on Warrant

On the 30th of March 2023 at 6:49pm, Belleville Police were called to a North Front Street business regarding a female who had been previously trespassed.  Officers arrived on scene and learned that the 41-year-old female was currently wanted by another police service.  A male who was with the female initially provided a false name but was quickly identified.  The male was currently wanted on a warrant by the Belleville Police Service.  As a result, 40-year-old Ronald McCloskey was arrested for failing to comply with his probation order.  He was released on an undertaking with a court date in April 2023.  The female was turned over to the other police service on the strength of her warrant.
