Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 63 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 17th of February, 2022 to 5:00 am on the 18th of February, 2022.

Domestic mischief/pursuit

On the 17th of February, 2022 at 4:00 pm Belleville Police officers were dispatched to the east end of Belleville after a report of a female causing mischief to a residence.  Upon police arrival at the incident address, the female fled in a motor vehicle but was apprehended a short distance later. As a result, forty-three-year-old Tara Bartholomew of Belleville, Ontario was arrested and charged with two counts of mischief under $5000, Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle, Failure to stop after an accident and Flight from police.  Bartholomew was later released with a court date of March 7th, 2022.

Theft of tools

Belleville Police Service are requesting the publics assistance regarding a theft that occurred in the west end of Belleville. The Belleville Police Service received a complaint that on February 15th, 2022, between 11:30AM and 6:30PM, unknown suspect broke into a utility trailer and stole numerous work tools.
