Armed Robbery:

Belleville - On December 1st at approximately 6:16 P.M. police responded to an apartment complex on the west side of the city for a report of a robbery involving a firearm.  Two male suspects were reported to have left the scene just prior to police arrival.   The victim was met at his door by a male known to him to exchange property for cash from an earlier arranged agreement.   The victim was startled when he realized the transaction wasn’t going to happen, and instead observed the male brandishing a hand gun.  The suspect demanded cash from the victim and fled to an awaiting vehicle.   An investigation into the matter identified 20-year old Joshua Anthony Wilson and 19-year old Thomas Hazelton, both of Quinte West as being the men responsible for the robbery.  Wilson was arrested outside of his residence in Quinte West by the OPP and transported to Belleville.  Hazelton is wanted by Belleville Police.  Both men are jointly charged with Robbery – using a firearm, while Wilson is also charged with possessing cocaine, and Hazelton facing a further charge of weapons dangerous.  Anyone having information on this is asked to please contact investigating officers Det.-Sgt. R.I.D.E.

Belleville - Police conducted a R.I.D.E. program overnight checking 440 drivers and administering the roadside screening device four times resulting in one 3 day suspension.

Warrants

Belleville – At approximately 3:30 A.M. on the 2nd of December, police responded to a call for a disturbance on North Front St. One of the males involved had outstanding warrants for his arrest for assault, criminal harassment and mischief. 22 year old Cameron Vail of Belleville was arrested and is being held in custody for a video remand.
