Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 70 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on February 19, 2025 to 5:00 am on February 20, 2025.
Break and Enter
On the 19th of February at 10:02am, Belleville Police attended a restaurant on Bell Blvd. for a report of a break and enter that had occurred sometime overnight. Unknown persons had broken a window to make entry and subsequently “trashed” the restaurant. A significant amount of damaged was noted along with an undisclosed amount of money was stolen. Members of the Forensic Identification Unit attended to process the scene. The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cst. Assault
On the 19th of February, Belleville Police received two 911 calls where there was no contact with the caller. Approximately 30 minutes later at 10:12pm, the same phone number called and this time a female advised police that she had been assaulted by her husband. Police responded to an east end residence and arrested a 28-year-old male. The female did not require medical attention. The male was charged with one count of assault and released on an Undertaking with a court date in March. The name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
