It won’t be long before a caravan of moving trucks will head out across the city tasked with relocating Belleville police headquarter’s contents to new digs in the west end.

Belleville Police Service’s 96 sworn officers will move to their new $26.3 million headquarters in mid-October at the nine-acre corner site of Sidney and College streets.

Deputy Chief Mike Callaghan said it’s all systems go as the final pieces of the multi-year project fall into place allowing for a three-day move into the single-floor facility undergoing a major retrofit of the former Veridian electrical provider’s main office.
