Public Intoxication

On July 30, 2026, at 11:57 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s west end regarding an unwanted person.

A female reported that an unknown male was attempting to enter her residence. Upon arrival, officers located the male and spoke with him. He advised that he was trying to attend a different house but could not provide an address. Officers observed the male to be extremely intoxicated, and he became uncooperative during the interaction.  

For his own safety, a 26-year-old Brighton man was arrested and charged under the Liquor Licence and Control Act with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place. He was later released from police custody once sober.

Fail to Comply

On July 31, 2026, at 12:55 a.m., Belleville Police responded to a business in the city’s east end regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers observed a male and female engaged in a verbal dispute. Through their investigation, officers learned the female was bound by conditions prohibiting her from attending any location where the male was present.

As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address was arrested and charged with:

  • Fail to comply with an Undertaking

She was held for a bail hearing.
