Suspicious incident

On 25 November, 2024, at approximately 8:15am, Belleville Police received a call to the area of the Riverside Trail and McNabb Tower after evidence of what looked to be a small explosion was discovered. Upon police arrival, PVC piping and parts of fireworks were located. Police reviewed video footage of the area, and a male was observed approaching with an item in his hand at approximately 3:25am. The item was ignited which looked like fireworks. The male then left the area walking on Front Street. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cst O’Hara at cohara@bellevilleps.ca

Break and enter

On 25 November, 2024, at approximately 3:00pm, Belleville Police attended an industrial building on University Avenue regarding a break and enter. Officers, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, searched the building, and no one was located. There was minor damage to the building, and no information of items that were taken.
