Fire
On the 15th of November at 6:51pm, Belleville Police attended a school on Church Street after receiving reports that an unknown person had set fire to some cardboard just outside the school. Belleville Fire attended and extinguished the fire. There were no reported injuries or damage to the school. Police are continuing the investigation.
Mischief to residence
On the 15th of November at 7:14pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s west end after a resident reported that someone just smashed a window out in his residence and sprayed pepper spray inside. The resident suffered facial injuries from the incident and Hasting-Quinte Paramedics attended. Police are continuing their investigation. Disturbance leads to arrest
On the 17th of November at 11:36pm, Belleville Police responded to an address on Burnham St. in regards to several people fighting. Upon police arrival, the combatants had separated. There were no reported injuries. Police spoke to the involved parties and as a result of their investigation, police arrested a 35-year-old Belleville man for being intoxicated in a public place. He was issued a Provincial Offence Notice under the Liquor Licence and Control Act and released when sober.
Residential Break and Enter
On the 18th of November, shortly after 1:00am, owners of a residence located on Centre St near Liddle Ln returned home after being away for the weekend to find that unknown persons had broke into their residence and stole a quantity of items. Members of the Belleville Police Forensic Identification Section attended to process the residence for evidence. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects, witnesses and nearby security video. Anyone with information regarding this incident are asked to contact Cst.
