Domestic Assault

On the 18th of June at 9:06pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a domestic dispute.  The male involved reported that he had left the residence for a short period of time following an argument with his spouse and that she had now changed the lock on the house and he was unable to get inside.  When police arrived, they spoke to the involved parties.  Police learned that prior to leaving the residence, the involved male had physically assaulted the female.  She did not require medical attention.  As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 32-year-old Belleville man with assault.  He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in July.
