Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 110 calls for service beginning at 5:00 am on July 2, 2026 to 5:00 am on July 3, 2026.
Mischief
On June 6, 2026 at 9:18 a.m., Belleville Police responded to a call for service on Front Street. It was reported that, upon arriving at work, an employee observed a window had been broken overnight.
Officers reviewed surveillance footage and observed a woman attending the business, kicking the window, and then fleeing the scene on foot.
Through continued investigation, officers were able to identify a suspect.
On July 2, 2026, as a result of investigation, Jessica Cruse-White, a 28-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was located, arrested, and charged with:
- Mischief under $5000
- Fail to comply with probation order
She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in November.
Sexual Assault
On July 1, 2026, Belleville Police responded to an apartment complex in the city’s east end regarding a report of sexual assault. It was reported that a male drove a female to her residence and, prior to her exiting the vehicle, sexually assaulted her.
On July 2, 2026, a result of investigation, a 26-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:
- Sexual assault
- Fail to comply with probation order
He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in August.
Warrants
On July 2, 2026, at 1:34 a.m., Belleville Police responded to a business on Bridge Street West regarding a report of weapons. Upon arrival, officers located a male suspect; however, no weapons were observed. Upon further investigation, it was learned the male had outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrants.
As a result, Kevin Symons, 52-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested on the strength of the arrest warrants. He was held for a bail hearing.
