On August 4, 2026, at 7:39 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a disturbance at a location in the city’s east end. It was reported that a male was threatening staff, and that staff wished to have him removed from the property.

Upon arrival, officers located the male, who was immediately uncooperative. Officers observed the male to be intoxicated.

As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Belleville man with no fixed address was arrested and charged under the Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA) with:

• Being intoxicated in a public place

He was also charged under the Trespass to Property Act (TPA) with:

• Fail to leave when directed

He was later released from police custody once sober.
