Assault a Peace Officer
On August 16, 2026, at 6:02 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a call for service in the city’s east end. It was reported that a female had left her residence and refused to return despite being bound by conditions, including a requirement to follow the residence rules.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the female and subsequently transported her to a local hospital for minor injuries.
While at the hospital, the female became uncooperative and spat on a police officer.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with:
- Assault a peace officer
- Fail to comply with probation order X3
She was released on an undertaking with a court date in November.
Warrant
On August 16, 2026, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Belleville Police observed a parked vehicle associated with a male who was wanted on an outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrant for:
- Invitation to Sexual Touching under 16 years of age
- Sexual Interference
- Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age
Officers located the male a short time later. As a result, a 29-year-old Belleville man was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant. He was held for a bail hearing.
Mischief
On August 15, 2026, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Belleville Police responded to the area of Front Street regarding a report of mischief. It was reported that a male had thrown a chair through the glass door of a local business before fleeing the area on foot.
Through investigation, officers identified a suspect and located him nearby shortly thereafter.
As a result of the investigation, Randolph Bienias, a 46-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:
- Mischief – damages property
- Fail to comply with probation order
He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in October.
Belleville Police Arrest Same Individual in Separate East-End Incidents
On August 14, 2026, at 8:24 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a weapons incident.
Upon arrival, it was reported that a male had pointed a knife at an individual. Officers located the suspect, who fled on foot, leading to a brief foot pursuit. He was arrested a short distance away without further incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with the following and released on an Undertaking:
- Assault with a weapon
On August 16, 2026, at 9:50 p.m., Belleville Police responded to the same residence regarding a disturbance involving the same male.
Officers spoke with the involved parties, and it was reported that the male had threatened an individual and punched him.
As a result of the investigation, the 22-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
He was held for a bail hearing.
