UPDATE #2 – Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision
Further to the release issued on May 26th, 2026 regarding a fatal collision at the intersection of Bridge Street East and Herchimer Avenue, the Belleville Police Service is providing updated information.
The initial investigation referred to the incident as involving a pedestrian. It has since been determined that the deceased was operating an e-scooter at the time of the collision and was the sole rider involved.
The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
