Break and Enter

On February 19th at 9:58am, Belleville Police responded to a report of a break and enter at a business in the city’s downtown area. It was reported that an employee had arrived at work in the morning and observed an unknown male leaving the premises. Upon investigation, it was observed that the door was damaged from being broken into

Officers reviewed surveillance footage and were able to identify a suspect. It was also discovered that the suspect had conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Later that day, officers responded to a separate call from a different business for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers located the male who was the suspect in the earlier incident.

As a result of police investigation, a 31-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:

  • Break and enter
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

He was held for a bail hearing.
