Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 116 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on January 20, 2026 to 5:00 am on January 21, 2026.
Intimate Partner Violence
On January 20th at 2:10pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s west end following a report of a domestic dispute. It was reported that a male could be heard screaming from outside the residence.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the male had been screaming at a female. It was further reported that, in the previous days, the male had pushed the female and slapped another individual, and had thrown items inside the residence, causing a disturbance.
As a result, a 48-year-old Toronto man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Assault – spousal
- Mischief
He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in March.
