Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 189 calls for service beginning at 5:00 am on January 9, 2026 to 5:00 am on January 12, 2026.

Impaired Driver

On January 11th at 4:11pm, Belleville Police observed a vehicle parked unusually in the city’s east end. Officers approached the vehicle and found a female slumped over the steering wheel.

As a result of investigation, Rhonda Giorano, a 34-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Failure to comply with a release order
 

She was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in February.

Uttering Threats

On January 10th at 3:40pm, Belleville Police responded to a business on Dundas Street West regarding a disturbance. It was reported that a female became aggressive and threatened to stab staff.

As a result of investigation, Lindsay Kellar, a 30-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with uttering threats. She was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in March.

Intimate Partner Violence

On January 10th at 1:10pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, it was reported that a verbal argument escalated when a male grabbed a female by the arm and pushed her into a wall. It was also reported that on December 31st, the same male had slapped the female in the face.

As a result of investigation, a 42-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of assault. He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in February.

Impaired Driver

On January 10th at 1:52am, Belleville Police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the city’s north end and conducted a traffic stop. Officers observed signs of impairment while speaking with the driver.

As a result of investigation, Devin Kearley, a 25-year-old Kanata man, was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg. 

He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in February.

 

Disturbances

On January 9th at 4:36pm, Belleville Police responded to a disturbance at a business in the city’s east end. It was reported that an unknown male was yelling at staff and throwing items at the door.

Officers identified the male and learned there had been 6 calls for service on January 9th involving the same individual causing disturbances at various businesses. Police advised the male that he was not to return to the location, however, he ran back toward the business and into traffic.

As a result of investigation, John Crawford, a 30-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:

  • Loitering in a public place
  • Failure to comply with a probation order
 

He was held for a bail hearing.
