BELLEVILLE, ON – The Belleville Police Service is proud to welcome home Cst. Aaron Gauthier following his recent deployment to Latvia with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

Cst. Gauthier has served his community since becoming a member of the Belleville Police Service in December 2022. In addition to his policing work, he served his country as the Crew Commander of a medical team as part of Operation REASSURANCE.

Between January to September 2025, Cst. Gauthier was deployed to Latvia with a CAF-led multinational battlegroup based at Camp Adazi. Fully integrated with the Latvian Land Forces, this battlegroup included artillery, mechanized infantry, and specialized support units. Together, they conducted joint training exercises, maintained a strong deterrent presence, and remained prepared to respond to any potential threats.

We are incredibly proud to have Cst. Gauthier back with our team. His service reflects the strong connection between policing and military service, where core skills like problem-solving, initiative, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential to both fields.

The Belleville Police Service is committed to supporting our members who serve in Canada’s Armed Forces. Through policies that provide the flexibility to balance their dual roles, we recognize and celebrate their dedication to both our community and our country.

Welcome home, Cst. Aaron Gauthier.
