Unwanted Person
On September 27th at 8:40am, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s west end regarding reports of unwanted individuals. Upon arrival, it was reported that multiple individuals behind the residence in a wooded area were causing a disturbance. Officers entered the wooded area which was public property and located three people. Upon investigation, it was learned that one male was had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
As a result, Kevin Symons, 51-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Failure to attend for court. He was held for a bail hearing.
Disturbance Leads to Voyeurism Charge
On September 27th at 6:30pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a report of a disturbance involving five males.
Upon arrival, the parties were separated. Officers spoke to three of the males who were still outside. It was reported that a domestic dispute between one of the males and a female had occurred regarding a video recording. Two additional males passing by confronted the male while the dispute was taking place, which escalated into an altercation involving all five male parties.
Further investigation revealed the male involved in the domestic dispute had recorded his partner without her knowledge.
As a result of investigation, a 44-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with voyeurism. He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in December.
Intimate Partner Violence
On September 28th at 12:35am, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s west end regarding a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke to both parties involved. It was reported that female had physically assaulted a male by punching him in the face. As a result of investigation, a 48-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with assault. She was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in October.
